Networks

Networking is an important part of business development in any company. SeSaM-Biotech is a member of several industrial networks or clusters of excellence. This allows us to sustainably develop our business while interacting with other companies. Moreover, the membership in these clusters of excellence can be regarded as an acknowledgement of our platform technology as important for both academia and other comapnies in white and red biotech. In addition, being part of BIOKATALYSE2021 and ChemBioTec excellence clusters, brought SeSaM-Biotech into big projects founded by BMBF and DBU in which different companies and academia collaborate in order to bring their competences together.

BIOKATALYSE2021

BIOKATALYSE2021 cluster is an interdisciplinary network that encourages and supports German biotech start-ups while bringing together the leading centers of biocatalysis research and business from northern Germany. SeSaM-Biotech became a partner in March 2009, while in October 2009, the company received funding from BMBF through the cluster. This funding is intended for technology development of the SeSaM method that has as an end goal the development of a commercially available SeSaM kit that will bring SeSaM in every directed evolution lab.
