SeSaM-Biotech is a service provider for Directed Evolution of proteins for white and red biotech applications. At the beginning of a project, SeSaM-Biotech receives from customers the target protein sequence and the needed properties towards which it should be evolved. Depending on the properties and desired performance, each project can be individually designed to suit the needs of our customers. The directed evolution packages we offer are for the full directed evolution of enzymes are:

• SeSaM gene libraries obtained applying our patented technology (EP 1670914, US 0223148)
• Cloning & expression using our proprietary cloning technology and strains
• High throughput assays development for desired enzymatic reactions
• High throughput library screening
• Characterization of up to 10 evolved variants (kinetic properties, selectivity, stability etc.)
• Rational design for identification of positions for site saturation mutagenesis (SSM) and screening of the resulting SSM libraries
